Check award availability before transferring
Points transfers to airline partners are typically instant to 3 days but usually cannot be reversed. Before initiating a transfer, confirm award space is available at the saver rate on your target flight and dates. Log into the airline's website or call the award desk to verify availability first.
Look for sweet spots in partner programs
Every airline loyalty program has pricing anomalies where certain routes or cabin classes are underpriced relative to cash fares.
